Some More Outside Fun

The Saguaros are blooming!

If you look closely, you can se the little bees and flies pollinating the flowers!

I just learned that this is called a purple heart plant!  Isn't is beautiful?

We had a delightful visitor: a grosbeak!

Cindy and I saw a cute little calf on our Saturday morning walk.  Look at those ears!

We saw apricots and Cindy tried one to see if it was really an apricot.

The palo verde trees are still blooming.

The blooms are less dense than they were earlier in the spring.

This is a little bitty weed in the crack of the sidewalk!  Aren't those little puffs cute?

A turtle in the pond:

I've never seen the bridge with no people on it!

The mesquite blossoms are falling apart now.

Globe mallow:

Phlox:

Silverleaf nightshade:

Yerba masa:

Tiny bird egg on our sidewalk:

Teeny tiny weed!

Love bird in the park when I was running:

A moth on our screen:

As the hot weather starts again, many of our cacti started tipping over (their roots dry up) and I had to prop them up with sticks:

Google Photos made this collage for me of photos with Allistair:

I've been reading on the couch a lot, as usual, and the cats like to join me.

They love their Daddy, too (as do I!)

Look at this dapper gentleman!

And this droopy silliness!

I love this sweet face!

Allistair usually helps me with yoga . . . on this day, he "helped" more than usual!

He also watched my yoga routine on the TV with interest.

Stephen decided he likes to be INSIDE books.  He's been squiggling underneath my books and wearing them like a tent or a big hat.

Also he played with his tail last night.  Very sweet!

TEEFIES!!!!

While making my smoothie the other morning, I spilled beet powder all over!  Turns out that it might be a fun temporary hair dye!

It brushed right off my shirt, don't worry!

Now that I'm fully vaccinated, I have planned a few lunches with friends.  I was blessed to have a picnic with a young friend of mine who used to volunteer with me in the special needs program at our previous church.

We had corn tortillas with hummus and veggies, rice crackers with cashew cheeze, olives, and chocolate chip cookies!

YUM!

It was a nice cool, breezy day, too.

I also got to meet with another friend!  She's also vegan, and we enjoyed our meal at the Seed Shack, a fully vegan local restaurant.

Here she is and here is her PRECIOUS son!

Even though things are still kind of slow (no in person work with kids, etc), I don't mind this slower pace and I'm HAPPY that I've been able to SEE people in person FACE TO FACE!
