Our Arizona House Is Under Contract!

Look at our beautiful house!
We are happy to say that it's under contract since Monday evening.  We had 22 offers to sort through, and all of them were above the asking price except one.  What an interesting process!

First Greg had to supervise professional movers to take the rest of our stuff.  It turned out that as much as we packed ourselves (a whole big truck), there was still a lot more!

After they took our stuff away, Greg started cleaning and organizing people to do what remained to be done.  Then the realtor sprang into action.

The photographer took great photos.

Everything was very clean because of Greg's hard work.

It's strange to look at these pictures.  It's been five weeks since I've been there, and it still feels mentally as if I'm on an extended vacation and I'll be going back there to put things back in order.

Greg patched holes, cleaned everywhere, fixed things that were broken (like the screen door handle), painted scuffs, and made sure window washers and professional cleaners came.  He dealt with surprise termites (eek!), selling his truck, and much much more.  He's amazing!!! (And tired.)

The floors were definitely a favorite.

We also got comments about how the big open space was a selling point.
We had to fight for this house way back in 1996, too; we loved the layout.

Greg took a picture of our neighborhood "unemployed" cats, Gracie and her Mom.  We have known them for at least 15 years, probably longer.  They aren't very friendly, but they've always been around.  I will miss them.

Even the garage was actually clean!

As soon as the house was set, Greg left to drive my car, Clarabelle, up to Minnesota for good!
It had been over a month and I was very lonely, so I'm glad he's finally home!

We're excited about our next step - shopping for a house up here!
