Merry Christmas!

Jesus said,
"I have come so you may have LIFE
and have it to the full!"

John 10:10

HE HAS COME!
May you have His joy and peace this Christmas and the coming year.

Canyon Lake Hike

Greg and I did a hike (the day after Thanksgiving) and I forgot
to post anything about it!  Whoops!

We had a good time.

Canyon Lake is beautiful.

And it was a great day:
blue sky, cool weather.

There is Four Peaks!

See the bridge?
That's how we got to our parking spot.
I think the bridge is pretty.

Can you see me in the panorama?

We cross the road . . .

and then we climb up!

I found a cairn and added to it.

I found this huge locust!

The higher we climbed, the prettier the view!

This little hole looked like a heart!

Greg saw some little berries.
Don't worry: we did NOT eat any!

And I found this millipede!  Dead.

Isn't he beautiful?

The rocks have wonderful striations.

See that boat in the background (the white thing)?
My dear friend Cindy was on that boat when we were taking these photos!
(It's the Dolly Steamboat.)

Four Peaks again.
It's one of my favorite landmarks.

The colors and textures are glorious.

Thanks for hiking with us!

Last Minute Gift Ideas

If you celebrate the birth of Jesus by giving gifts
as a reminder that He gave Himself as the greatest Gift of all,
you are probably on the lookout for some great gifts for the special people on your list.
If you are an Amazon Prime member, these gifts can get to you in time for Christmas!

I have spent a bit of time browsing (I've got ANOTHER COLD!  before I even thought I was over the last one - boo!), so I thought I'd share some of the things I found that I would like to get or that I am planning to give!

I hope you find something you plan to give!

Gifts for everyone

I have these and they are sturdy and very useful.

Coasters (everyone always needs more coasters, and these are beautiful!)
I love these things!  I have two sets.

who want to avoid getting dementia!

I've had multiple sets of these
(I'm a bit clumsy when I'm fatigued, so I've broken more than one.)
