It was my birthday yesterday!
God sent me a beautiful sunrise.
The day before my birthday (which was Tuesday), I went for a walk with a new friend, Mary.
We met at her beautiful house (which looks like a castle!) and walked from there through her hilly and treed neighborhood to a park, which was also beautiful!
Neat tunnel:
A neighbor walked by with this HUGE mushroom! She found it walking in the wood.
I've never seen such a thing!
The next morning, I enjoyed our tree in the front yard! What glorious colors and textures!
The cats are getting braver. The street out front is quite busy during the day, and the cats prefer to sleep in the bedroom. But Allistair has slept on the back of the couch a bit, and I'm looking forward to when they seen squirrels!
Look at that pretty tree!
All the fallen leaves are golden.
The chilliness means that I need a hot water bottle for my tootsies! The cats like them, too. But it's not actually cold in the house. These houses maintain heat much better than Arizona houses.
We have been cuddling and enjoying quiet time at home in between fun activities.
I found these cute mustard yellow checkered fleece blankets at Target for $10.
And Allistair brought Wanda to me!

Beautiful sunrise on my BIRTHDAY!
I had a bit of a slow morning, but I had lots of plans so I didn't linger TOO long!
I enjoyed some snuggles.
Stephen likes the cute yellow checkered blanket, too!
Here's a beautiful card with Sedona on it from my sweet friend Jen.
Getting ready for my birthday walk!
I love my new beanies (Target)! I love wearing HATS and I'm
thrilled to be able to be a BEANIE PERSON now!
Here's what I wore!
jacket: Levi's (Amazon)
sweater: Charter Club (Macy's)
t-shirt: A New Day (Target)
pants: INC International Concepts (Macy's)
I didn't like these pants with this outfit, so I changed later into something else
shoes: Target
hooded water-resistant sweatshirt: GAP
I found a neat little walk along a stream about 10 minutes from our house!
This tree's ears got cold and it needed an ear warmer!
Look how pretty this stream is!!!
I liked how my sweater ruffles stuck out the sleeves of my jacket.
There's the road waaaaay up there!
And here are the stairs up to the parking lot.
I stopped by Whole Foods on the way home to pick up groceries. I came home and ate a quick lunch before I got down to cooking. I needed to make food to take to my birthday celebration at my parents' house!
I couldn't make muffins (no muffin pan) or brownies/bars (no bar pan!), but I could make cookies since I bought parchment paper at Whole Foods and I had a baking stone up here stored at my parents' house.
I also made a pasta potato stew, which turned out delicious!
My Mom's decor is always cute, and it brings up happy memories because she's had the same things since I was a child.
