I'm sorry to announce that our dear Claude went to Heaven last week (December 5, 2023). She had been ill for some time, and a final bout of digestive problems meant the final trip for her.
Above, a photo of her when she found us! She was young and ready to produce kittens (2, a boy and a girl, Basil and Clementine)!
We were thrilled to see her beauty, and in order to figure out whether she already had a home, Greg asked, "Is she clawed?" I discovered that YES, she had claws, so her name became Claude.
Our last Sunday nap this side of Heaven:
Enjoying some snuggles and a nap on the couch:
Our small family together for prayer time:
Look at that gorgeous girl!
Many magnificent whiskers!
"I do not like having my photo taken."
Squinty eyes = LOVE
Watching the ducks!
Fluffy backside!
Kisses:
Lovely little fuzzy feet:
In a tent:
Long leggedy:
When she was well, she liked to nestle into my neck and PURRRRRRRR
Calm in the midst of a packing storm (when we were preparing to move from Arizona to Minnesota):
When she was ill and needed a cone, we found a cute sunflower one!
In her later years, she got good at napping.
She was an elegant lady:
Very fluffy and cute!
She also had a very cute yawn!!!
She made bookshelves prettier:
She had a wonderful little wet nosey. Sometimes I could boop it.
Sometimes she booped mine:
She kept her eye on things:
All the babies took care of me after ankle surgery:
And during recovery:
A stack of towels calls for a sweet CAT!
One time she got over-involved in our budget process:
She loved looking out windows and sniffing the fresh air.
Long arms:
She had preferences and wasn't afraid to display emotion:
We love you and miss you, sweet Claudie!
